Managing the Strain of "Fullness"

Modern life requires us to maintain a revolving door of identities: the dedicated employee, the patient parent, the attentive partner, and the reliable friend. Each carries its own set of values and demands. When these systems clash, our nervous system can become overwhelmed, leading to a state of paralysis. Our work is focused on helping you live in accordance with your values, even when life feels impossibly full.

If I'm not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your benefits through out-of-network coverage. Many insurance plans reimburse a portion of the cost of therapy with providers who are not in their network.

Here's how it typically works: you pay for your session at the time of service, and I provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

My private-pay rate is $220 per 50-minute session.

In the first one to three appointments, I ask new patients questions about their history, why they are starting therapy, and what they hope to get out of working together. Many patients find more clarity around the issues they face early in treatment.

Continued work together involves practicing indicated skills (communication, emotional regulation, etc.) inside and outside of therapy.

My path started as a peer-counselor in my high school's health center. This gave me a sense of purpose and connection, which drove me to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology. During my training, I developed a profound fascination with the brain's intricate workings and profound impact on mental health. In my practice, I integrate my understanding of how neurological processes influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors into my warm, relational approach.

I participate in continuing education coursework as-needed for specific topics. More recently, my focus has been on sex and intimacy, as these issues continue to be salient in the lives of many of my patients.

Take the first step toward clarity.
